Vaping Will Get You #$@&^*$^
That title tho! Yes, I know that statement to be a fact. When I first started using cannabis I tried both vaping and smoking joints.
Neither vaping nor smoking were optimum methods of consumption for me. I prefer edibles (preferably capsules because it reminds me that weed for me is medicine) but edibles come for me like that big girl on the playground that want your brand new kicks. If edibles were a person…she’d be that bitch.
Even though I don’t like smoking/vaping personally, my body loves it. And truthfully, I do too because I have more control. I can use the bud that I like (usually Charlotte’s Web). I can choose the method or style of smoking I like (pre-rolls, cartridges or flower). And I can control how much I consume.
Of the two (smoking and vaping) I prefer vaping.
Whenever I consume edibles I always imagine some maniac in the kitchen throwing weed in a pot, crazy-glassy-eyed, wearing a white lab coat whispering, “Oh yeah. I’m bout to fuck them up.”
Yes…that m*@#*&%^ gets me.
Every.
Single.
Time.

There is science supporting my theory that vaping gets you higher than smoking.

START SLOW!
Start slow. That’s the best advice that I can give you. No matter what form of dosing you use. There are basically three ways to consume medicinal cannabis:
Ingest – cannabis you consume. You can consume weed in practically any form. Cookies, candy, cakes, brownies, mints, gum, sodas, ice cream and even pills. I could go on and on ‘Bubba Gump’ style but I’m sure you get the drift.
Inhale – cannabis you smoke. My mind was blown when I stepped into the dispensary and saw all of the options available to smoke cannabis. You can buy flower or shake (more on that later), you can buy pre-rolls (joints). You can buy wax or shatter (I promise I’ll break this down later but listen newbies…don’t be in such a rush). Vaporizers, pipes, bowls, bongs, bubblers. It’s enough to make your head spin.
Other – topicals, lotions, creams, suppositories, etc.
Choose one and take it slow.
FORTY YEAR OLD VIRGIN
Yeah, you read that right. I was the forty year old ‘weed’ virgin. The newbie that had never smoked a joint. Matter of fact, I had never smoked period. And I thought I never would. Smoking had never appealed to me.
Fast forward to 2018 and there I was, bed-ridden from rheumatoid arthritis and riddled with inflammation and pain. It was at that point that I was desperate for a solution. Not just a solution from the pain, but also from the side effects of most arthritis medicines.
I was introduced to CBD, because sooooo many people told me how much it helped. I was very hopeful but sadly I got no relief from inflammation and pain. That’s when I decided to try medicinal cannabis. And yes, it has been a journey. I’ve made many mistakes. Learn from the mistakes that I’ve made. Please. That’s why I’m here. And believe me when I say that I’ve made a LOT of mistakes starting on my cannabis journey.
